I found a temporary solution, when I go to task manager and disable the Waves MaxxAudio startup process, and restart my computer, the audio works completely fine. I have tried messing with the control panel sound device settings, such as changing the communication tab to not lower volume during a call (to 'Do Nothing'). My speakers work completely fine in anything but calling apps such as zoom or skype. Even when set to 100%, the person talking is just barely audible.

Speakers - Select a different speaker if you have one connected.

Noise cancellation - Adjust the Noise cancellation option for Skype calls.

When you toggle this off, you can adjust your microphone volume manually.

Automatically adjust microphone settings - With this toggled on, your microphone volume will be set automatically.

Microphone - Select a different microphone device if you have one connected.

This feature is only available in Skype for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

High - All background sound will be suppressed except for speech.

However, you can use this setting if you want to share the music you are playing.

Low - Low levels of persistent background noise will be suppressed, such as a computer fan or air conditioner.

Auto (default) - The Skype app will adjust the level of noise suppression based on your environment.
